Rätten att skjuta raketer mm

"Hamas har rätt enligt Internationell lag att beskjuta Israel med raketer. Det är inte terrorism".

Så säger en person i Gaza till tidningen Times of Israel.

I mina öron låter detta helt absurt. Personen ifråga menar också att raketbeskjutningen från Gaza är symbolisk. Den "skadar ju ingen".

Ett foto (länk) på ett litet barn som önskar att få växa upp i ett fredligt Israel/Mellanöstern.

Jerusalem Post rapporterar att den ena av två raketer som under dagen avfyrades mot Israels huvudstad, Jerusalem landade på Palestinskt område (Västbanken). Det innebär att Hamas och andra terroristorganisationer inte tvekar att sätta andra Palestinier i fara när man angriper "Zionisterna". Cyniskt.

Freds och konfliktvetaren Mons Krabbe skräder inte orden när han skriver "En dödskult går i krig". Han reder här ut begreppen om vem eller vad Hamas egentligen är för några. Summan av hans inlägg blir att Hamas inte passar som barnvakter, scoutledare eller söndagsskollärare.

Torbjörn Jerlerup har också ett och annat att säga om Hamas via en artikel publicerad på Newsmill. Han redogör också varför Israel inte kan lita på Hamas.

Israels Ambassad redogör här för vad som sker gällande den humanitära situationen i Gaza.

Roy Alterman skriver om vapenvilan som "kanske" kommer tillstånd inom några timmar.

In an attempt to scare Israelis and boost morale among Palestinians, Hamas and its military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, have created videos with messages for Israelis which are being broadcast on Hamas’ Al-Aqsa TV.

One such message addressed Israeli soldiers:

“From the Al-Qassam Brigades to the Zionist soldiers: The Al-Qassam Brigades love death more than you love life.”

Palestinian Media Watch has documented how both Hamas and the PA have promoted the idea of Martyrdom death as a worthier goal than life.

Another video shows footage of Hamas launching missiles on Israeli targets and carrying out terror attacks. This footage is mixed with pictures of Israeli victims, including former hostage Gilad Shalit. Shalit is shown standing next to Ahmed Al-Ja’abari, Hamas’ former head of military operations who was killed by Israel last week. The video also shows mourning Israelis and scenes of funerals in Israel. In this video, the narrator addresses Israeli soldiers:

“The price will be high, Sons of Zion. Are you willing to pay the price? …

Oh occupier, we are coming towards you. Leave our land. All of Palestine is ours. There is nothing here for you but death. There is nothing here for you but to be killed and to leave.”

Jag vet att människor på båda sidor i denna konflikt lider. Men man måste också väga in inställningen hos de terroristorganisationer som de facto styr/ockuperar i Gaza. Mycket av Gazabornas lidande är inte orsakat av Israel. Det är orsakat av de egna politiska och religiösa ledarna.
